ADECCO CALL CENTER OPENS IN GATES

Senator George Maziarz is pleased to join The Tryad Group, owner of Rochester Technology Park (RTP) in Gates, in welcoming personnel services firm Adecco Group USA as RTP's newest tenant. Adecco has officially cut the ribbon on its Rochester Shared Services Center at RTP, which is expected to create up to 200 new jobs by 2010.

Today’s announcement comes on the heels of Rochester Tech Park’s one-year anniversary under ownership by the Tryad Group. Tryad officially acquired the RTP property in the summer of 2007 and has increased occupancy by more than 375,000 square feet.

Adecco’s new 13,000-square-foot call center is located at 158 Wallace Way, in Building 9, within the Tech Park complex. The center currently handles 6,000 incoming associate calls per week and will distribute payroll for more than 500,000 workers annually across the U.S. for Adecco.

Lori Hock, Senior Vice President of Adecco Group North America, said the company selected the Rochester Region for its call center for a number of reasons, including favorable demographics and real estate options.

“The Rochester area ranked high across all selected metrics that are critical to the establishment of a call center,” Hock said. “That, combined with the Tech Park’s location in an Empire Zone and access to state tax incentives, made the decision to locate at RTP an easy one.”

The Tryad Group invested a significant amount of capital in building improvements in preparation for Adecco’s move, including site work and construction of new offices.

New York State Sen. George Maziarz said: “Adecco’s decision to locate its call center at Rochester Tech Park is a welcome boost to our area’s workforce. The company’s investment in its center and plans to hire upwards of 200 people over the next two years is an economic shot in the arm for our region.”

Adecco joins Weldrite Closures, Pepsi Bottling Group, Hammer Packaging, Citigroup, as well as Rochester Park Studios —  a planned entertainment industry destination and state-of-the-art production facilities for film, television and music — as the latest tenant to lease space at RTP.

“We are very pleased that Adecco decided to locate its call center at the Tech Park,” said Tryad Group principal Josh Yashar. “We look forward to working with them and would welcome the opportunity to meet with any other companies that might consider locating their operations here. There is no question that the Tryad Group and Tech Park teams are ready and eager to help grow business in the Rochester Region.”

The 5 million-square-foot Tech Park was purchased by the Tryad Group in August 2007. Tryad has invested millions of dollars in improvements and upgrades to the facility in an ongoing, aggressive effort to attract local, national and multinational companies to the site, creating new job opportunities in the Rochester Region.

Tryad Group develops and owns millions of square feet of industrial properties, as well as multifamily and mixed-use properties in New York and nationally.
